Pearl's week with a new foster

Pearl has been with me for the past week and what a beautiful and compact little bundle of pure joy she is! She loves to do 'zummies' in the yard and is trying Soooo hard to get the other dogs to play with her. In a pinch she plays with me but how she loves to run with the big dogs! She likes to carry her toy around the house and practically prances she is so proud of herself! And her picture doesn't do her justice. She is a petite and beautiful little dark brindle girl with solid dark face and feet - and white nails! They will be a snap to trim! "Life is Good"

awe...yes as you can see...I have discovered how it feels to lay on a pillow - "what have I been missing"

On a real good schedule with walks, play time, naps, bathroom breaks and other furry friend introductions. We have met a couple of other dogs around the neighborhood and Pearl seem to get along well with everyone. It is neat to see her coming out of her shyness and becoming more and more comfortable. She started to lay next to me instead of going to the crate - which to me is a great sign of trust and happiness. She eats very well at meal time and likes an occasional treat but never over does it.

Her interest in her surroundings is fun to watch, she has a special way she will go about exploring in her own time and speed. This morning was the first time she slightly began to demonstrate her athletic ability in the backyard..."WOW" she is graceful and fast when she wants to be.

However, Pearl has others skills too as you can see from her pictures.

A Beautiful Day!

Pearl loves to explore around the yard or on a walk with a trusted companion. She is quickly learning to trust her foster dad to explore the new world around her. Off the lead she is becoming more and more trusting to walk right up to me on her own and be assured with a nuzzle or a friendly pat from me. She is very good at relieving her self outside and is very interested in new things. Being gentle and calm with her has paid off in her trust in me, the progress is very exciting. What a confident beauty she is - as you can see from her photo.

She will be an incredible addition to a loving family!

Pearl's Favorites

Pearl loves squeaky balls, she really enjoys running around the yard with the ball in her mouth, she is very fast as a fyi. She is very well trained in the house, calm and sweet really independent and loves to take naps in her crate. Pearl also gets along well with every dog she has met so far. We did stairs at school yard today and she did great - major success for us!

Pearl is an incredibly sweet, clam little girl, very loving. She eats well at meal time, goes to potty outside on a short break or on a long walk. She loves her crate, even when the door is open she likes to go in to take a nap and cuddle with her squeaky toy. She is a bit shy with someone new, or a new dog but warms up quickly after she feels good about them. She likes to play with a neighborhood Boxer in a fenced-in area for some exercise and real fun.

Her picture doesnt do her justice. She is a gorgeous little brindle girl. Every time I visit the kennel to spend some time with the pups, she is always so calm and patient. She is great on a leash and seems to fit right in with anyone. Come see this jewel of the ocean.
